Accessibility
Everyone is welcome at Warialda and we want to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests of all abilities. We’re working to make it as accessible as possible within the constraints of the property’s existing design.

The house will be suitable for most people with a disability. Below we provide clear, honest and factual information to help you decide whether the property is suitable for you. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch so we can discuss in further detail.
Accessible Parking
From the driveway, the house is accessible via a flat 800mm-wide gravel and concrete tile path, about 15 metres long. There are no stairs from the pathway to the front deck, however there is a 15cm gap from the path to the deck. Guests can choose to park in the driveway which is more than 2.4m wide or in the carport where the spaces are at least 2.4m wide.
Entry
There are two front doors from the front deck that can be used to access different parts of the house. One with access to the main bedroom and the other with access to the kitchen. Both sections of the house are connected by an 860mm hallway (800mm wide at its most narrow) that houses a bathroom and separate toilet.
Bathrooms
Unfortunately, the bathrooms were not built with accessibility in mind. Whilst the rooms are level to enter, there is a bathtub in one and a shower with a lip and basin in the other. A mobility chair however could be placed in the shower. Both toilets are level to enter with no steps and 800mm wide entrances however there are no grab rails.
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms on the entry level. The main bedroom is accessible by wheelchair from the front entrance and accessible to the back deck via sliding doors. The twin bedroom is also wheelchair accessible.
The Loft Bedroom is only accessible via stairs however this is often used as the secondary bedroom.
Sensory
There are no odours or synthetic smells in the house. We have timber floors throughout which are cleaned with eucalyptus oil. Sometimes lavender oil is sprayed. Natural textures and calming colours have been used throughout.
Flooring
All flooring throughout the house is timber except for the bathrooms and bathroom hallway which are tiles. Both front and back deck is timber decking.
Outdoors
There are no paths around the gardens, its all grass. However the grass is mown regularly and kept short. The soil is clay and can be soggy in parts when its been raining. The driveway from the gate to the house is gravel.
Layout & Doorways
Most areas of the house are on the ground floor and easily accessible with a wheelchair. All doors and walkways are at least 800mm wide and there are no steps in the house other than the stairs leading to the loft bedroom.
Assistance Dogs
All dogs are welcome with prior approval and we are very happy to make certain allowances for assistance/companion dogs.
